Our Kayak 101 course is for the person looking to begin recreational or flat water kayaking. The lesson takes place on slow moving water which allows for calm and comfortable paddling conditions. This is a great experience for those interested in building their paddling skills.
If you are thinking of purchasing a recreational kayak this lesson will assist you in making that decision and allow you to try both sit in and sit on top kayaks. If you already purchased a recreational or touring kayak this lesson will get you started off on the right foot.
This course will include a land-based introduction and safety briefing, one-on-one time on the water with an instructor and a couple of hours on the river. This is a great paddling opportunity for all ages and abilities!
We offer this class at both Huguenot Landing and Robious Landing. Please confirm the location prior to the course.
